Nordisk Korthandel, scanmaps is situated in the charming latin quater of Copenhagen.
You are very welcome to visit the shop in Studiestræde. We have a large assortment of
travel guides, maps, reprints of antique maps, globes, atlases and mounted wall maps.
We have chairs and stools in the shop so that you can sit and leaf through the guides and choose from the
big selection.
The guides on the shelves are sorted after continents/countries/Danish guides/popular English guides and city guides.
Each day we receive goods, and every time we get new guides and maps you can find them in the shop and on our webshop wwww.scanmaps.com right away.
In the shop you will find a helpful staff who can give you advice and guidance and help find exactly the guide/map that you need.
The products that we do not have in stock we are willing to order.
It is a good idea to come well ahead of your departure, that way you will have maximum chance of getting exactly the map/guide that you need.
The delivery time can vary a great deal - from a few days to several months. Mostly, though, delivery time is 3-14 days.
We have large catalogues and databases we search to see if there are other ways to get maps and guides.
In the basement we have a large display of maps for offices plus examples of different mounting possibilities.
In the basement we have a big selection of guides and maps of earlier editions on sale; there you can make a good bargain.
In Studiestærde you will also find our two workshops.
The School Workshop publishes 5 big wall maps for schools.
We mount maps in the workshop ourselves, so it is possible to get maps other than for schools, mounted as a blind.
At the other workshop we mount maps on plates.
It is possible to strengthen the maps with foil so that you can write on them with a water-soluble pen.
We also laminate many maps. The used types are:
- thick laminate (durable) easy to roll.
- thin laminate can be folded. A good idea when you want your hiking map to last longer than to just the first shower.
We can laminate in one piece up to 137 centimetres on the shortest side.
